Melbourne Fishing Charters Snapper Fishing report January 9th 2012.

WE are still chasing Snapper on the 4am charter ( subject to weather). We must have good weather for the snapper fishing as they are 12 miles down the bay. Travel time 1 hr to grounds. Last snapper run we did quite well.  Whiting have been very quite in the Northern Part of the Bay - Probably due to heavy rain over Christmas. Should see first run very very soon.. Other target species have been Loads of Flathead/ and Small Pinkies. The poor weather is slowing us down. With no fishing likely this week.

Marie CLare - and the Irish Fishing team - 7th January SLower day  out wide but beautiful calm morning helped us land 7 nice snapper in 22m.-  Other species on this trip. Big Gummie on Bojangles. Loads of Big Flathead to 50cm...Loads of Rockcod ( by Catch) ray and skate.
